I have spent a lot of the morning playing and sitting with these babies!

Question for my Netherland Breeder Friends!! I have ended up with a Double Gene’d White Ear netherland doe. She is a blue magpie. If I continue breeding her to a buck, I am bound to only get litters with one white ear gene (mom only passes on one gene) and dad is not a white ear, are my chances of getting more white ears higher since she is a double’d gene. I keep thinking no, but she was just bred to a show buck, and I had two out of three that turned out to be white ears. Attached litter photos (already posted earlier but I want people to see the existing litter).

I want to create non white ears to be honest. So, I understand using the chocolate magpie baby going forward and test breed cause it looks like it also may be a white ear. Ugh!!

Lots going on but I wanted to share some cool photos I got of a rare litter (for me anyway). (Thierry(cinnamon) x Maple (Double WE - Blue Magpie). Surprised as heck to get the chocolate magpie. It is super nice, a bit smaller than the other two so I will watch and make sure it gets enough feed from mama!

Another baby from a holland lop litter! Still watching her as the fur is just not fluffy, it has a different texture.

Hailing all Holland Lop breeders: I am asking for information!! I have a doe that is supporting 7 kits. All seem to be similar in size. She is eating literally 2lb or MORE in high-end hay, and nearly 2lbs of Kent Home Hutch Extruded feed well within a 18 hr. period. Leaving very LITTLE for these babies to eat. I have not bred Hollands for a year or two and I never had a doe do this (literally, eat non-stop). I am with her all day (literally!!) I am home for work all day. She is absolutely drinking all of their water (32oz) per 24 HR period. And leaving virtually NOTHING for these poor babies!

I am needing advisement on ideas or
if this doe should be bred again?? She is FAT! And has never lost condition yet, through out this entire pregnancy. These babies are 3-1/2 weeks nearly 4 weeks old.

Tiniest little holland lop buck. I am HOPING that he turns out like his dad! Tatter Tot Jr. He is so sweet!
