Island Spectrum Design

This is my latest commission. I took my client to Fremont Antique Glass to select the glass. It was a pleasure working with great glass.

“put a bird on it” These are from my latest BI Parks glass fusing classes. Well done all!

These windows were recently installed in a kitchen here on Bainbridge Island.

I am visiting with my glass mentor Judy Davies in Riverside CA. I works with her for 9 years. We are finding windows we built back in the day. These were built for Air Force West retirement village in 1988. The glass was Hartlywood from England and Fisher glass from Germany. Both companies no longer exist.

We in the PNW are so fortunate to have access to Fremont Antique Glass. I took a client over to Seattle last week. Jim Flanagan and his crew were very welcoming and explained the process of blowing antique glass to my client My She wants me to replicate a 13th century window she saw in Italy. There is no better source for true antique glass than Fremont.

These are windows completed by two of my students. They are their original designs.

My stained glass classes for 2025 will be starting January 7th in the morning and January 8th in the evening. Registration is via Bainbridge Parks and Rec. There is room in both classes. Come and join the fun.

Students at ISD have been creating allsorts beautiful pieces.

It’s always fun to visit Bullseye Glass in Portland and some cold working.
