Owl & Sage

Natural products, herbs, crystals, moon magic, and blunt humor. I help real people feel better without judgment or 47โ€‘step routines.

Spiritual, sarcastic, and always real with new creations, healthy swaps, and magical goodies added as I grow.

I didn't create seasonings to sit on a shelf and look pretty.

I created them to be used.

On weeknight dinners.
On weekend cookouts.
On the meals that bring people together.

This one has quickly become a favorite around here. ๐Ÿฅฉ๐ŸŒฟ

What's your favorite thing to throw on the grill?

A new plant.

A clean kitchen.

Fresh bread.

Finding a good storage container.

A package of seeds.

What happened to us? ๐Ÿ˜‚

What's something that makes you weirdly excited now?

๐ŸŒฟ New on the Blog

This year I realized something.

I know how to grow herbs.

But I don't really know them.

So I'm starting a new project: creating my own herbology book, one herb at a time.

Not to become an expert.

Not to become a guru.

Just to slow down, stay curious, and learn more deeply about the plants growing right outside my door.

If you've ever wanted to learn more about herbs but felt overwhelmed by all the information out there, this post is for you.

Brown sugar turned into a brick?

Don't throw it away.

A damp paper towel and a few seconds in the microwave can bring it right back to life.

Simple fixes like this are my favorite because they save money and keep perfectly good ingredients from going to waste.

๐ŸŒฟ Simple fixes for everyday life.

Save this so you can find it later.

Maybe it's just me...

But every time a new health story hits the news, it seems like everyone suddenly has something to sell.

And honestly, that's never been what I wanted Owl & Sage to be.

I don't want to create products because something is trending.

I want to create products people reach for in everyday life.

Things that fit into real routines.
Things that people actually use.
Things I'd still make even if nobody was talking about them online.

Because fear comes and goes.

Real life doesn't.

I'd rather spend my time helping people build simple habits than convincing them to panic about the latest headline.

What makes you trust a business these days?

You don't have to make everything from scratch.

But sometimes it's nice to realize how simple some things can be.

This homemade body wash takes just a few ingredients and can be customized with your favorite scent blend.

The recipe is at the end of the video if you'd like to save it for later. ๐ŸŒฟ

Would you make your own body wash?

You know the one...

The song comes on and suddenly you're remembering a specific summer, person, trip, or moment.

What's yours?

Come hang out with me while I figure life out one project at a time ๐Ÿ˜‚

Today's lesson:

Not every label belongs on every bottle.

Back to the drawing board.

You don't need permission to enjoy your life.

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us started believing we had to earn everything.

Earn rest.
Earn fun.
Earn a quiet evening.
Earn the fancy coffee.
Earn the hobby.
Earn the nap.

And honestly?

I'm not interested in living that way anymore.

I grow herbs because I enjoy them.
I make things because I enjoy creating.
I drink dirty sodas because they taste good.
I spend time in my garden because it makes me happy.
I watch murder documentaries before bed because apparently that's how my brain relaxes.

Not everything has to be productive.
Not everything has to make money.
Not everything has to become a side hustle.

Sometimes things are allowed to exist simply because they bring you joy.

That's what I want for myself, and that's what I want for this community.

Live naturally.
Live intentionally.
But most importantly, live your life.

What is something you do simply because it makes you happy?

Apparently I'm in my tropical era. ๐ŸŒด

Today's dirty soda is called Island Daydream and honestly, if I can't be sitting on a beach somewhere, this will have to do.
