The girls stayed with Nana and Papa last night and I was able to take time to work on another fun drawing. I am working to add more story telling to the pictures .

As you keep repeating a theme or a concept it is wonderful to see you leveling up in your skills. It is like every aspect of life, you can know everything about it but it take putting these things as into practice for your eyes and muscles to actualize the skills.
Not sure if that makes sense but practice definitely makes progress.

I always enjoy putting my art in frames. It makes them look way better and it's a great feeling of accomplishment. :)

Just finished my third deep-sea diver illustration!
These pieces look great framed together, and they add such a fun pop of color to a kids’ bathroom.
I love how this one came out. The previous diver was watching the fish like they were birds flying by were as this guy is taking a group of fish for a walk.
Thanks for all the support and I am glad you enjoy these as much as I do.

Finished another piece tonight!
I have been swapping out older pieces that I have done with these new ones. Now they are all rying together with the same style.
Every time I paint one of these fantasy places, Emma and Nora sit beside me and watch and want to help. They’re enjoying these pieces as much as I am, and I hope I can pass on to them the joy of creating and expressing their ideas.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged my art journey.

I’ve been experimenting with a new direction for my birthday-card cartoon strips.
For years I’ve drawn a bear with a sarcastic rat, but I wanted to mix things up and push my expression a little further. So I’ve been swapping the bear for a cat, still sarcastic, but with a whole different personality.
Here are my sketches of progression and development. I ended up using these to talk to the kids about how to draw.
Funny thing is, I’m actually a dog person, but a cat fits the attitude perfectly. Let me know what you think!

I’ve been working my way deeper into this little fantasy world of crooked rooftops, oversized mushrooms, floating teapots, flying mysterious cats, and the ever-curious MadHatter.
From cozy rooms lit by glowing lanterns…
to tilted cities that bend and twist into the clouds…
to floating gardens and mysterious fishing locations…
this series has let me push perspective, character warmth, and atmosphere in ways that feel truer to my style than ever before.
Emma and Nora are enjoying these, and I hope I can impart to them the joy of creating and expressing their ideas. Sharing this world with them, and with you, makes the process even more meaningful.
Thank you for following along, more pieces in this world are on the way! Let me know which of the four illustrations is your favorite.
