'Twas a good day for a 75th birthday. 🎂

Geronimo had a successful gelding operation this week and is looking and feeling good! He is around 20 years old, which can make this procedure more challenging, but also will allow him to be adopted when he is all healed up. We love this sweet and cuddly short king! 👑

Terry turns 75 tomorrow!! 🎂
Come by the rescue around noon tomorrow, 6/2, and help us show him how special he is to this community.

Johnny and Jenny found their forever home in Corrales, NM with John, Juliet, and Jesse! They have been an exciting addition to their neighborhood, and get a lot of visitors. ❤️

Since being castrated last week, this friendly 2-year old is back to his spunky self. We are continuing his training and think he will make an excellent riding partner in the future. (P.S.... we think he's gaited!)

On five acres outside Aztec, New Mexico, near the Four Corners region, Terry Coburn and trainer Katie Johanson are caring for roughly 70 abandoned and neglected horses. That is not a lot of space for that many animals.

One of those horses is a mare named Sandi. When she arrived you could see every rib.

But here is the part of this story I was not expecting.
The people who come to this rescue to help the horses? The horses end up helping them right back. I will let you read the full story in this week's newsletter because it stopped me in my tracks.
