I do have to get in here to make some fruiting bags and I have to run and grab grains tomorrow morning. AND I still have to put everything back on the shelves from Saturday’s market and restock. There’s a lot to restock so I’m going to call an 11:30 open tomorrow.

Tuesday - 11:30-4:30
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 10-5
Saturday - 8-12 at Farmington Grower’s.

Chaga mushroom.

Chaga mushroom has one of the highest ORAC antioxidant scores ever recorded in a natural food source. According to testing by Brunswick Labs in 2011, Chaga scored 146,700, compared to roughly 4,700 for raw blueberries and 102,700 for freeze-dried acai.

But the numbers are only part of the story.

Researchers studying Chaga have identified compounds such as betulinic acid, a molecule the fungus acquires while growing on birch trees for years or even decades. Interestingly, this compound is found in wild birch-grown Chaga but not in Chaga cultivated on grain substrates.

Scientists have also explored Chaga's effects in laboratory studies involving cancer cells, inflammation pathways, and metabolic health. While these findings have generated scientific interest, researchers emphasize that laboratory results are not the same as proven human treatments.

The deeper scientists investigate Chaga mushroom, Inonotus obliquus, and other functional mushrooms, the more they discover that fungi remain one of nature's most chemically complex and least understood kingdoms.

So my kid got poison ivy. He’s back East. He gets it a few times a year. He’s in the woods or fishing 100% of everyday. I’m going to whip up a Jewelweed salve for him (among some other meds in there to stop the itch and dry it out).

Also I have a request for 6 charcoal soaps. So I’ll be making those Tuesday. If you need a refill on your soap, let me know. $12 a bar. Stuff is amazing for acne, preventing breakouts, tightening pours but also will not dry out skin, as it is goats milk based.

So I have a LARGE headcount for the class and have to cap it off. If everyone shows, I’m looking at about 45. I don’t think that many will come. We can fit that many, but I will have to bring chairs. If anyone has chairs they would like to bring, that would be helpful.
I will be running another class in four weeks, as long as it works out for Micah over at 550 Brewing.

Market was OUTSTANDING. But the FGM always is and that’s why it’s the only we make sure we get into. Lots of new contacts and customers. We will be back next Saturday 8-12 in Farmington. Shop hours are Tuesday-Friday 11-4:30/5. I do have consultations scheduled this upcoming week. If you would like to make a consultation appointment please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you so much to this community. One thing I hear often is “You’re so knowledgeable.” In the time that I’m not in the lab or in the shop, I’m learning and studying. Mushrooms, herbs, and the combinations that I can create to bring you the best product possible. I would put my knowledge and my products up against anyone’s, confidently. All of our herbs can be sourced, nothing is white labeled (meaning someone random makes the tincture and I just slap my label on it. Not a good practice), and all of our mushrooms are home grown - with the exception of the Chaga and the Amanita (cannot be cultivated indoors). My Chaga is sourced from back home and my Amanita is sourced from a lovely couple, who does the same work I do, in California. Next week I’d like to talk about the Amanita Muscaria mushroom , and why I feel it is incredibly irresponsible for anyone to sell Amanita Muscaria without going over some information and medically clearing them to take it. Please, do not buy these random chocolates and random mushroom products that’s claim to get you “high”, that you see online. It is a risky game. One reason why my Amanita Muscaria is not on my website is because I insist we have a quick conversation to make sure it’s safe for you to take. My business partner and I have over 30 years combined experience in this field. He has far more years than I do, as he began his cultivation journey in 1999, and myself in 2019.

With all that being said, I will have online orders out Monday morning and I will be back in the shop Tuesday. Tuesday I will announce our big raffle. I’m really excited for this one. 

I’m going to get some much needed rest. 16- 18 hour days this past week and it’s not going to stop - God willing. I can get back to everyone’s DMs Monday, before I get in the lab. Tomorrow I think I’ll just sit in silence and stare at the wall and let my mind simmer out lol.

I’m surprised at how quick this one is filling because I thought maybe every 6 weeks would be too close. But nope - I’m going to keep doing these classes until the proper education and knowledge is given to those who want to learn.

I need to let you know also, that I will never pretend to know the answer to something, if I don’t know the answer.
We will find the answer together and learn together. I have fantastic supports, country wide, to help out and provide the correct answers. I’ve got nothing prove, and the entire world to learn. It never ends. My mind is a sponge.

It was a beautiful warm morning on the lake, with my friend.

Shop opens at 11. I’m going to close for 4:30-5 depending on how the day goes.

I’ve got some pickup orders to put aside for FGM tomorrow. I opted to booth outside, so make sure to stop by our booth. We’ll be there 8-12 and I’ll have my shop apprentice with me to help also. Great way to learn these medicines, is at a market, where a lot of the same questions get asked and she can learn more.
Geeze, my market set up skills are rusty. By seasons end I can set up my booth blind folded. But it’ll be nice to have a helper who can double check me. I’ve been greatful for a few times she’s double checked me.

Closed Sunday and Monday. Reopen next week at the shop Tuesday-Friday.

All online orders that have been and will be placed today, get shipped out Monday.
