A warm Hoover Elementary welcome to Ms. Hutchinson!

Howdy! My name is Makayla Hutchison, and I’m super excited to teach kindergarten at Hoover. This will be my third year teaching, second year in Azle and second year teaching Kindergarten. I’m from Springtown and I graduated from Tarleton State University.

Outside of teaching, I just had my beautiful daughter, Navy, in April. I have my precious cat, Karma, which is named after the Taylor Swift song. I am a huge swiftie! I enjoy traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends and going to concerts. I’m excited to be at Hoover and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

Hello! My name is Stacee Bearry, and I am excited to be joining the 1st grade team at Hoover! I will be starting my 10th year in education with experience teaching both 1st and 2nd grade, though most of my career has been spent in 1st grade.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a proud aunt to five nephews and one niece, and I am especially excited to become a great-aunt at the end of August! I’m also a dog mom to three wonderful pups named Zoey, Ellie, and Pickles. In my free time, you can often find me taking my twin 4-year-old nephews to the Azle park, playing farm animals with them at my house, or enjoying time outdoors with my dogs.
I am looking forward to getting to know my students and their families and making this a fun, exciting, and successful school year!

About me:
I am entering my 8th year of teaching, 6th year in fourth grade. I attended TCC and Tarleton where I received a bachelors in psychology.
This year, I will have two high school kiddos - Lily (freshman) and Jett (junior) - so please send me all the good vibes! My husband is the assistant manager at Brookshires in Springtown. My favorite thing is spending time with my family. We like to watch Jett play soccer, play board games, watch movies, swim, and have outdoor adventures!
The last 5 years I have been teaching at Liberty. I am nervous but excited for this change to Hoover. I hope to spark a love of learning for my students!

Hey there Hooverites! I am going into my 6th year in Azle ISD, my 3rd year at Hoover and my first year as a teacher! I will be teaching 5th grade science, where I already spent the last two years as the Science Lab Aide. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I am super excited to continue to serve this campus and the community that I love so much!

Hi everyone! My name is Kandi Hawkins, and I am so excited to be joining the 2nd grade team at Hoover Elementary this year, marking my 12th year in education and my 8th year right here in Azle ISD. Family is everything to me; my husband, Terrell, teaches and coaches at Forte Junior High, and together we have three amazing kids who keep us incredibly busy. Our oldest, Morgan, just graduated from Azle and is heading off to Lubbock Christian University where she committed to cheering with them, Maddie is a junior and a cheerleader at Azle High School, and Mason will be a 7th grader this year at Forte Junior High. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, watching Texas Tech sports, or out there cheering on my own kiddos! I am looking forward to a fantastic school year and getting to know all of you!

Azle ISD staff will be available to assist families with online registration, including proof of residency, shot record verification, food service, transportation, bilingual/ESL, special services, and more. (Spanish translators available.)

Families should start the online registration process for new students in Skyward before visiting Central Registration. (Returning student registration for 2026-27 will take place online through Skyward.)

Our Hooverites have been out for summer break for a little over a week now, and we already miss them dearly! 💙☀️
