Meet Mrs. Gonzalez, EE-3 Teacher
An educator since 2010, Mrs. Gonzalez joined Azle ISD in 2018. She holds degrees from Tarleton State University and the University of Texas at Arlington, alongside a post-graduate Educational Diagnostician certification from Texas Woman’s University.
Her experience includes working as a kindergarten, 3rd-grade, and 4th-grade teacher, as well as serving in inclusion, resource, and functional academics classrooms.

Outside of school, Mrs. Gonzalez is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, and binge-watching series on Netflix and Hulu.

She is eager to join the Silver Creek Elementary faculty as an EE-3 educator and looks forward to collaborating with students, families, and colleagues.

We're excited to welcome another incredible educator to the Silver Creek family!

She brings 10 years of teaching experience with a diverse background across several grade levels, including Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade. Outside of school, she is a proud mother to an amazing 11-year-old daughter, and they love taking their 3 dogs on evening walks together.

She is most looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, growing, and making strong connections with everyone here at Silver Creek Elementary School!

Meet Ms. Shelbi Ruthesell – Kindergarten Teacher!

We're excited to officially welcome Ms. Ruthesell to the Silver Creek family!

She graduated from Tarleton State University in December of 2025 and is already a familiar face, having student taught for a year right here at Silver Creek with Mrs. Dinkins! Outside of school, she spends most of her time fishing and taking day travel trips around Texas.

Ms. Ruthesell is most looking forward to creating and building strong relationships with her students this year at Silver Creek Elementary School!

Meet Mrs. Doyle – 5th Grade ELAR/Social Studies!

She brings 8 years of education experience, including 4 years as a paraprofessional, 2 years as a long-term substitute, and most recently 2 years teaching 5th grade science at the Hoover campus. Outside of school, she's a passionate home chef with 15 years of restaurant experience, and previously owned and operated a restaurant with her husband and son.

Mrs. Doyle is most looking forward to expanding her teaching expertise into ELAR and Social Studies while bringing creativity, fun, and meaningful growth to her new classroom!

Meet Mrs. Courtney Putt – 5th Grade Math and Science!

We're excited to welcome Mrs. Putt to the Silver Creek family!
She brings 13 years of teaching experience and wrote science curriculum for her former district. Outside of school, you can find her at a dirt bike track cheering on her husband and sons!
Mrs. Putt is most looking forward to building strong relationships with students and parents as well as fostering a love for math and science here at Silver Creek Elementary School!

Meet Ms. Lyndsey Stephenson - 1st Grade Teacher!

She brings three years of teaching experience and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Indian River State College in South Florida. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling, shopping, spending time with family, and being a dog mom to her Australian Shepherd, Sawyer. Ms. Stephenson is excited to build relationships with her students and families while creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that help students develop a love for learning.

While many were enjoying a day off, several of our amazing teachers and staff chose to spend their time growing, learning, and leading at district-sponsored AzleCon! Throughout the day, staff participated in sessions designed to sharpen skills, share ideas, and continue investing in excellence for students.

A huge shoutout to Ms. Massey, Ms. Merimon, Ms. Wallace, Ms. Hebert, Ms. Stipe, Ms. Mooney, and Ms. Foster for stepping up to lead sessions for teachers, staff, and administrators across the district! 👏🍎
