At Silver Creek Methodist Church, we believe no one should walk the Christian journey alone.

That’s why we have our MOM Ministry—Member Overseer Ministry. The purpose of this ministry is to provide personal, intentional Christian care to every member and prospective member of our church family, while helping keep the pastor informed of needs, concerns, celebrations, and opportunities for ministry. The MOM Ministry is inspired by Acts 20:28: "Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood."

Our MOMs commit to:

• Being present in worship and connecting with their assigned members ("kids")
• Reaching out each week, especially when someone has been absent
• Getting to know, love, and encourage their church family
• Visiting and supporting members during times of illness, hospitalization, crisis, and celebration
• Praying faithfully for those under their care

Our MOMs are regular people, yet Spirit-filled saints who love God's people and Jesus...or as the Good Book says, a "priesthood of believers" (1 Peter 2:5-9).
