TOWN OF CAMP VERDE ANNOUNCES NEW TOWN MARSHAL
The Town of Camp Verde is proud to announce the appointment of Dan Jacobs as Town Marshal.
Marshal Jacobs has served the Camp Verde Marshal’s Office for more than 13 years, most recently as Patrol Commander and Acting Town Marshal, where he has overseen patrol operations, led critical incident response, and supported the ongoing development of the department.
He brings extensive experience in public safety and leadership, along with more than 23 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, where he retired as a Master Sergeant. Today, we take the time to remember Officer Houston James Largo. He succumbed from a gunshot and died on March 12, 2017.
Navajo Police Officer Houston James Largo was killed in the line of duty on March 12, 2017, after being shot while responding to a domestic violence call in Casamero Lake, New Mexico.
A 5-year veteran with the Crownpoint Police District, Officer Largo (27) was honored for his bravery, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting the Navajo Nation, having previously received the 2016 Indian Country Officer of the Year award.
This day brings remembrance of a heroic police officer that gave his life for others to survive. His sacrifice was made to honor his oath as a Navajo Police Officer and to protect the people of the Navajo Nation.
