Happy 81st birthday to the main mang without whom none of this would be possible - David “Dawg” Grisman.
Thank you for being a great father, a great friend, and a great inspiration to our community of acoustic musicians. In this family, every day is Dawg’s day, but today we’ll raise a joint in your honor, and work on a few more tunes to play with you next around!
We are grateful to get to celebrate you and your music every time we take the stage, and we hope you have the greatest day - you deserve it mang!

I have been lucky to have been lucky to have been surrounded by great music, musicians, and musical instruments for as long as I can remember. I owe this to my father who is not only a world class musician and composer, but also a passionate instrument collector.
We used to spend time together when I was a little kid going to vintage instrument stores and guitar shows at home in California and this continued out on the road as I got older and began to tour with him. So many incredible people have come into our lives through this shared passion for cool old instruments.
My Dad has long surrounded himself with great sounding stringed instruments and has a great eye and ear for obscure and unique pieces that have always brought color and music into our home. Recently, he has been freeing up closet space by making some of these instruments available and selling them directly to folks from his website.
There are banjos, mandolins, guitars, and every flavor of stringed instrument imaginable - ranging from “wall hangers” to professional caliber axes. The best part is, they’re all playable and sound cool otherwise they wouldn’t have made it into his collection in the first place. Each instrument comes with a certificate of authenticity designed and signed by the Dawg himself. Check em out via the 🔗 in bio!

The legendary is one of the most beloved and influential singers, songwriters, and instrumentalists in American acoustic music and the impact that his songs and musicianship have had on our tribe of acousticians is immeasurable.
When I was a Junior in high school if you would have asked me what my dream job would be, without a doubt I would have answered “to be in the Tim O’Brien Band.” It is a great honor to get to play some of my favorite Tim tunes with the man himself, and to get to do it in a trio setting with the great Victor Furtado ( ) , one of my favorite pickin’ pals who also grew up on Tim’s music, is going to make for a special experience for everyone on stage and in the audience! We can’t wait to see y’all out there.
