More pattern babies. This is another design I made for a collection. One thing led to another and next thing you know I’ve got several color combos. Then I shook the fruit tree and they all ended up on leggings. Not sure which I like best 💙💜♥️💚

Lately I’ve been working on expanding my family…. my pattern family. Working in collections does not feel natural to me, but it’s a challenge I wanted to explore. And it is FUN. It’s a bigger puzzle and provides an opportunity to expand a story. One of my jumping off points was a pattern I did for the pattern challenge, based on our trip to Switzerland last year. Here is one of its new siblings in the form of colorful cuckoo clocks. The rest kinda writes itself 😅. And while it makes a great chocolate bar design I could see it on fabric, wall paper or gift bags. Patterns everywhere!

I have lived in and around Austin most of my life. Over the years I have captured 100’s of Polaroids of the city I live in. Lots of walls, murals, signs, scenes. Many of them now gone. Some of them places you may have never noticed.

With this collection, in the past I’ve puzzled a few into collaged art prints. I wanted to make something more accessible — post cards! Meet my PolaPosts: “square notes from ‘round these parts”.
