Meet Anu, the namesake of our Anu Mini & Maxi dresses! She leads pattern-making & garment production at our partner women’s collective in Nepal. Anu is one of the most talented people we know & performs creative miracles with a ready smile and infectious laugh❤️
Why do we name our designs after our dear friends who make your clothes?
✨To build connection to the human hands that make these things that fill our lives
✨To honor the culture and traditional skills of these people in places that are foreign to us, but have any enormous impact on how we live

How to dress for travel in Asia (or anywhere really 😘): the best travel clothes are:
✔️ COMFORTABLE
✔️ respectful of local culture (esp modesty levels in dressing!)
✔️ easy to pack & wear (lightweight, packs small, minimal wrinkling)
I designed Dear Friend with these considerations in mind, so packing for my month away came easy😊
All DF clothing is handmade from super breathable & minimally wrinkling natural cotton.
The Krishna button up top was my most worn piece this summer because it can be styled so many different ways, looks professional (always appreciated in Asian countries), and offers great sun protection for my constantly burning collarbones🤪

Every thread has a story, ours starts long before it even touches a sewing machine🪷
