It's not a coincidence. When he speaks of these verses, he reveals how heaven operates through earthly actions. God delegates authority, entrusts responsibility, and rewards stewardship. The system of reward exists both above and below.

A king's decree commands silence and sackcloth. Man and beast alike must fast and call on God, abandoning evil ways. Who knows? Maybe compassion will avert destruction. A powerful story of repentance and hope.
