One week until Christmas but these light displays will still be going until 12/31. A few new ones to the list this year that are impressive. Let me know what your favorite is this year!

Breaking News: Elon Musk’s latest venture includes plans to open a new university right here in Austin. Tax filings for one of his charities include a 100 million dollar donation that would initially fund a STEM focused primary and secondary school and eventually include an accredited university. The school does not have a name yet- any ideas?

Shake Shack in Cedar Park (1905 E Whitestone Blvd) is set to open 12/5. The new restaurant site near other new eateries such as Black Rock Coffee and Snooze. Curious what you all think: is Shake Shack worth the hype or overrated? If you like it, what do you order?

Opening on Hero Way in Leander next week! This unique dessert place serves up Italian ice mixed with soft serve ice cream. This is Jeremiah’s second location in the area. Cedar Park is home to its first location.

Big news for Cedar Park last week! Scheel’s, a large sporting goods store announced plans to build a store near the H-E-B center on New Hope. The store will include an indoor Ferris Wheel, an aquarium, sport stimulators, and more. Construction is planned to begin in early 2024.

A cloud computing company is putting down roots in Georgetown. ZT Systems has acquired a 430,000 sq ft facility near I35 and the 130. The company intends to hire 1500 people in the Austin area in the next year or so.

Bar W continues to grow! The development off Ronald Reagan and 29 will soon be home to: Whataburger, Mod Pizza, Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Garcia’s and Chili’s (who knew they were still building?!). These restaurants join Torchy’s, Jersey Mike’s and HEB’s fresh bites, all already open.
