Learn How: Strategic Watering.
For the past several months, we've been sharing a six-part email series on Strategic Watering—our simple, low-tech application of the science of Forest Moisture Circulation.
Since 2022, we've conducted 100+ field tests across forests in Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas with Strategic Watering. Our objective has been to restore moist-air circulation during drought and reduce the atmospheric conditions associated with heat waves and wildfire.
To date, Strategic Watering has performed reliably across every field test we've conducted, always eliminating fire weather.

Well, it's the end of week #2 of The SouthWest Projects 2026 and the watering truck, a Ford F350, collapsed in Colorado near Durango.
We'd been pushing the truck for months. As a small nonprofit the budget has not been there to make repairs, but the need to do the work sure was. This is a first attempt at a fundraising video, off the top.
As normal, Chris Searles talks a lot about how effective what he's doing appears to be, and how to do what he's doing.
We had ENORMOUSLY good timing and success during the first week of the SouthWest Projects 2026: July 11-17, watering in New Mexico and Arizona. The fires are pretty much out for now, across the entire Four Corners region, the "monsoon" rains that were trickling on July 10 at the bottom of the Four Corners forest system have since been sharing rain daily, across the entire Four Corners' forested regions.
We'll do it again, just like we did in Central Texas April-June, 2026, and in The SouthWest Projects 2024 and 2025, once Chris gets back out there. You can help!
Chris will be back on the road and needing funds by July 31. He'll start in the SouthWest and then head to California / the NorthWest.
