Rest easy Kris. Thankyou Radney Foster for the beautiful rendition of “Help me make it through the Night”!

Crocodile 🐊 hunters. Fun with Shimek’s! Burt the Turt is on a Mexican adventure! 🐢 Pop and Gammy can sleep later…

Birthday Boy in Boca… retiree haven, pretty much beautiful weather 300 days/year. Beaches are so clean and the air so fresh!

Let’s get to the HEART ❤️ of the matter! Stay tuned for the Winter 🥶 Sewathon. Gathering years of fabric scraps from design clients and antique linens and old postcard and ephemera! Time to purge and create/make beautiful things from pieces of the past. I’m sure there are many stories about the hands that carefully handmade lace around the kerosene lamp at nighttime after a very long day of caring for their families and homesteads. I respect the women makers that came before me, they had it a lot worse than we have it today.

As we were exiting Ta Prohm, an ancient temple today in Siem Reap. Couldn’t resist taking this child’s photo, it speaks volumes to me. Her Mom was sweeping leaves nearby as her little one played in the forest adjacent. Sometimes when we travel, we’re fixated on rushing from photo op to photo op without really immersing and seeing what’s around us. This trip has taught me to slow down, lookup and coexist. A strange principle that I could really get used to.

Feeding Dreams Cambodia is a non-profit school in the poorest area of Siem Reap. My sister and I visited, gave children school supplies and learned about their program. Their biggest need is sponsorship for at least 30 children $18/mo which provides clothing, food and clean water to share with their families. Many of the children live on Government roadsides and can be evicted at any time by the officials. They were absolutely precious and happy in spite of their living conditions. If you’re interested in learning more, I’ll share!

What a delight to immerse with Thai families in Udon Thani. They put out the grand welcome mat for my family! We were invited to eat on several occasions with staff and their families, celebrating the New Year and beyond. This would never happen in US… I was smitten by Tiny, their 5 year old daughter. Guess I’m a Gammy everywhere I go. Who knows, my Thai friends may SHOWUP someday to surprise me!

Private sunrise tour of Red Lotus 🪷 Lake outside Udon Thani, Thailand. 5:30am driving 1 hour to catch the earliest views of this incredible place. 1500 Bhat, driver. 150Bhat private boat for over an hour. 20Bhat street food (not sure what I ate). 20Bhat Hot coffee. Experience of a lifetime….Priceless.

Cooking Thai was an awesome experience! We started in the open market, selecting our ingredients, cooking at our stations, then enjoying our labors with stories and recipes to share back home!

Chillin in Chiang Mai. What incredible people, architecture, food and crafts. Learning to back strap weave, supporting tribal village women artisans. Day 2. 24 to go. Difficult language to learn, but the smile is their universal language.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia. In less than a week I’ll take off to explore Thailand and Cambodia. The anticipation of new sights, sounds, and experiences are thrilling to an ADHD adult. Studies have proven that those of us with severe wanderlust and ADHD are connected. It’s no surprise I’ll travel with my sisters who share not only DNA but wanderlust themselves. Follow along as we learn a new culture, and return with stories to last our lifetimes.

Bethlehem at Lakeway Church~ a labor of love and a testament to giving back my talents in the second half. The reason for the season is sharing the birth of our Savior with all people.
