Before writing a new blog post, review your existing posts. Google Search Console can show you posts that are getting impressions but no clicks. Those are your best opportunities.

A therapy practice had a post stuck on page 3. We spent 15-20 minutes a week improving it. Studied what ranked on page 1, used AI to spot gaps, embedded a journaling template, and added guides readers could use without leaving the page. Eight weeks later, it moved to the top 3, about an hour of total work.

If your goal is to blog weekly, consider this instead. Write one new post per month, and spend the other three weeks improving existing posts. That’s where the most significant ranking gains can happen. Search and AI love fresh and helpful content.

Over the last month, I worked with a therapy practice on a single page: their EMDR service page. It was getting traffic but wasn't ranking as well as it could, and visitors weren't reaching out after reading it.

We didn't rebuild their entire website. The content needed to better explain what EMDR is and who it helps, plus give people a reason to reach out. We rewrote the page and adjusted internal linking to improve search visibility.

Rankings improved, and more people started contacting them after viewing the page. Finding and fixing a specific problem often makes a bigger difference than starting over.
