El riff de entrada surfio durante una preproduccion. La banda termino la cancion y alguien (Charlie) toco una octava en guitarra qu resolvia a la tonica. Como un relampago…se me hizo claro…ESE ES EL UNDERLICK!!!!

This is my first studio window. Its rhe first leaf of the window system that looks into the booth of the new studio at Peregrino Media. In the background my rock, my ride or die … fwiw the control room window is much larger, but that goes up later. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

This single came out a week or two ago.

Was tracked 95% live in the room with exception for vocal overdubs and some leads.

Done at wonderful and ever the every vibey and WELL STOCKED in austin texas.

We began with a full weeklong session of preproduction brought 3 of the most creative musicians ive had the pleasure of working with into complete harmony. They then unleashed with uncompromising a magnificent ofe to heaviness and fury in the studio.

Maybe some of the most fun ive had producing a record.
many jokes, lots of making fun of the bass player, maybe the most Pearl Jam jokes ever squeezed into one studio.

I came out the other end a different producer, a different engineer and a different mixer.

I truly believe we made *Kill Em All* in 2022

There is NO bu****it in this album.

There were many mixes, there were arguments and at some point during the process some feelings may have gotten hurt. I wouldnt trade any of the stress or any of the arguments for anything because what emerged was a ball of lightning.

Last year...Focused in my element. either Mixing a drumkit, checking phase between multiple guitar mics or balancing the entire band in the live room...probably figuring out lunch tbh.

Looking forward to saying goodbye to these masks.

one of my closest friends followed me around for the better part of a month while I recorded a whole bunch of bands at the . This is one my faves.

Un momento capturado por durante las sesiones de ... Jugando con lo que, para mi, es el mejor amplificador jamas hecho. El ac30 bobinado a mano. Creo que en este instante salia a una cabina ... Al subirle a la ganancia mientras le bajo al output en medio del take le agrega un cambio de intensidad gradual.

a moment captured by during the sessions. Here I am playing with what is, for me, the greatest amp ever made. a hand wound AC30...in this instance running out to a cab in the isobooth. Im gradually increasing the gain while attenuating output mid-performance to add a gradual sense of instensity to the take.
