Sparkles, beads, and lace. I’ve been learning tambour embroidery with beads recently, and wow, it’s HARD. New appreciation for embroidered dresses, shoes, and veils unlocked. I’m lucky to make a small functional broach.

Dress reveals are some of my favorite moments to capture. There are tears, laughter, and tangible love and excitement. Shout out to best friends and bridesmaids who encourage us and make us feel beautiful.

My besties are parents! Caitlin and Crandell are as loving as they are beautiful in this photo. I am ecstatic to be living in the same timeline as little Eliana Claire Hemphill.

I spotted Amber and Christian at and knew I needed to hear and capture their story. They’re kind, adventurous, horse-lovers who are traveling the world for their wedding. I love using my camera as an excuse to meet people like Amber and Christian. The balloon festival cultivates a certain kind of magic and I can’t think of a better place to commemorate a wedding.

So proud of my fellow social worker, Krystal- she is a compassionate soul, a brave advocate, and looks beautiful in flowers.

Coping strategy #34: slow and savored walks. We are always walking to get somewhere, but its nice to walk as if I have nowhere to be. To be so present with God, nature, and the sensations around me, that whatever is chipping away at my peace is, at least momentarily, put to rest.
