The WheelBase

I’m happy to announce the launch of our new site, thewheelbase.co, now with clothing, and some prints to come soon. This first set of clothing is largely inspired by my love of Porsche, but I’ll be working on new designs based on different automotive brands as time goes on. Sean and I (Aaron) have of course been slowed down a bit on the photography side due to COVID, and I have been on a bit of a personal rollercoaster since December (our last post). With things settling back down, I’m leaning into graphic design to retrain the creativity muscles, and decided to put those designs to use with clothing. Everything is based on my desire to wear automotive themed clothes that aren’t too in your face about me liking cars. We are still going to try to shoot as much as possible once being in public is safe, so expect more photography too!

Never expected to see one in person, far less spend 2 days watching and shooting it at COTA (shooting on the track at that; see pic two of Sean in action for proximity context). The Vulcan looks otherworldly and sounds incredible!

After continuously falling more in love with the 911, I (Aaron) finally pulled the trigger and added this 997.2 Targa 4S to the stable. Drove it from Cleveland back to Austin (~1,300 miles) the day after buying it, and couldn’t be happier. Who doesn’t love a hatch!?
