Join us on July 11 at the Violet Crown Cinema Austin for a special screening of “Lamb” — the first Ethiopian film chosen as an Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival — and help provide urgently needed uniforms for students at the Davis Moon Project school in Arbegona, Ethiopia.
Right now, we especially need support of our pre-K student and uniforms for our girls, who face the most obstacles in their pursuit of education and a better life in rural Ethiopia. The DMP school serves 2,000 students in the community, from pre-K through 8th grade.
Your $25 a ticket provides a full uniform for a child. If you cannot attend but would still like to support our kids, you can donate to the Davis Moon Project. All proceeds go directly to supporting the school and students.

Our goal is to have all of our old wooden desks replaced in 2020! See our old wood desk compared with our metal framed desks and our local carpenter who we contract to build all of our desks! $43.75 per desk!

HEALTH UPDATE! Some of you may remember this little girl from 2016 medical mission. She had pressure on her heart due to worms in her system. DMP paid for her medical treatment and she is still a DMP student and thriving today! THRILLED to share this news!

Uniforms needed! Our uniforms from previous deliveries have badly deteriorated!

See these sweet faces? These are some of the 150 orphans that make up the Davis Moon Project school. Our mission this summer is to raise about $7000, which would be the cost to feed each of these 150 orphans breakfast at school for 10 months. School starts back in September!

6 birr= 1 meal (roughly 21 cents a meal)
126 birr= 1 meal for one kid for 1 month ($4.50)
1250 birr= 1 meal for one kid all 10 school months ($45)
Each kids gets a hearty piece of bread and a cup of tea, a customary breakfast in Ethiopia.

Any amount would be greatly appreciated. You can support as many kids as you would like to. DMP has funded for the cafeteria worker to expand his kitchen, which would allow him the ability to feed an additional 150 kids each day. We are excited to be able to provide something so basic to these kids this coming year!

We had a another good day in Arbegona. We finished painting at the school and then took a visit to the market and stopped in for a coke at a local restaurant. We had several thousand people following us, but it was a fun experience and it’s always great to love on the people in town.
