NorrisWater enjoyed connecting at the Texas Water Association Annual Conference in Ft. Worth! Great discussions on water infrastructure, sustainability, and innovative treatment solutions made it an insightful event.

Robert Burkhart (1958-2011)

Mr. Burkhart was a pioneer of inland coastal desalination, leading the first brackish groundwater plant in the Rio Grande Valley as General Manager for Valley MUD, which came online in 1999. His vision and quiet determination opened the door for many to follow, and his legacy still shapes how we approach water supply in South Texas.
