They spoke about Harris's life and career ahead of her European Farewell Tour, which begins in Glasgow and Dublin this weekend.

Emmylou Harris, ahead of her European Farewell Tour, which kicks off next week, spoke with The Guardian's Fiona Sturges about her career in music and why she won't be winding it down anytime soon, as she'll continue to tour closer to home in the US. "I don’t really know what winding down is,” Harris says. “I think when you’re an artist, you don’t ever really retire. As I tell my friends, I don’t know what I’m doing, but I sure am doing a lot of it.”
