The White House said late Monday afternoon that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will not enforce mask mandates for public transportation following a federal judge's ruling that blocks it. As a result, some agencies are making mask-wearing optional for customers and employees, following this court order.
While masks are no longer a requirement, the CDC continues to recommend masks to protect against the spread of the COVID virus, particularly in areas where social distancing is not possible. Agencies are encouraged to make decisions that are in their best interests.
