Yoga is an ancient practice rooted in India, shaped by philosophy, discipline, and inquiry long before it became what much of the modern world recognizes today.

While movement is often the most visible part of yoga, the tradition offers much more: tools for awareness, relationship, and reflection.

At MVP, we honor both the roots of yoga and the ways it can support modern life through yoga therapy, accessible practice, and community.

Today and always, we honor the teachers, lineages, and traditions that continue to carry this practice forward.

A chance to slow down, soften, and reconnect, with your body, the earth beneath you, and the people around you. Let the sunset hold you as you unwind from the week and settle into presence.

The physical practice can help us build awareness, but the invitation of yoga extends far beyond the mat. It’s a practice of how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.

Meet Catherine, one of our lovely teachers at MVP! You can practice with her every Tuesday at 9:00 AM for Flow.

After a career in technology, Catherine found yoga as a way to connect more deeply with herself and others. Today, she shares that same experience with her students through accessible, thoughtfully sequenced classes designed to build strength, flexibility, and mind-body awareness.

Teaching from a trauma-informed perspective, Catherine creates a space where students can explore movement with curiosity, confidence, and self-trust. She is especially passionate about Yoga Nidra, Yin, Restorative Yoga, and supporting women’s wellness.

When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her reading, crafting, making pottery, or playing video games with her family. As the youngest of six daughters, she brings warmth, creativity, and a playful spirit into every class.

Join Catherine on Tuesdays at 9:00 AM and experience her magic for yourself. 💛

Join us for Paddleboard Yoga with Austin Paddle Co. and experience your practice from a whole new perspective. Move, breathe, balance, and soak up the beauty of Austin from the water.

We have two opportunities to practice together this month:

Whether it’s your first time on a paddleboard or you’re a seasoned paddler, this all-levels experience is designed to help you connect with nature, challenge your focus, and have a little fun along the way.

It’s easy to look at a pose like Side Plank and think yoga is about strength, flexibility, or achieving a certain shape.
But many of us discover that the practice offers something deeper.

A chance to slow down.
To notice.
To reconnect with the breath.
To become more aware of the relationship we have with ourselves.

The postures can help build strength in the body, but they can also create opportunities to practice presence, self-awareness, compassion, and choice.

What has yoga taught you beyond the poses?
Maybe it’s patience.
Maybe it’s trust.
Maybe it’s how to rest.
Maybe it’s how to listen.
