Back in 2015, in this park, I attempted to ask to be my girlfriend… I fumbled the delivery, she left confused… eventually we figured it out.

Fast forward a couple years, I brought her back to this park and proposed. Best decision of my life.

Today we got to bring Brooks to the park where it all began. Time moves quick and life is special. Don’t blink.

I think it’s easy 7 years in to take for granted how good I have it with you.
Never on purpose, but because we have our routines and “normal”…

7 things I’ve noticed lately that I love that you do:

1. Volunteer. From the school to young lives… you have a heart to serve and you are going for it and it’s great to watch and challenges me appropriately.

2. Create. You started painting signs, set a goal for $500, did your first event, got consistent on social media, exceeded your goal… and found a hobby that’s enjoyable. I love how many signs we have in our house.

3. Yell. In the morning when you help bubs get ready and you yell “you look gooood”… it makes me smile so big even if I’m on the other side of the house.

4. Suggest. I noticed it a few times lately, but you
just nudge us out of routine and I need that. Like telling me to go get a bottle of wine… I like the idea, but I just don’t do it. I need you for stuff like that. Painting pumpkins, having Brooke and Tyler over for survivor, photoshoot… all stuff I’d like to do, but you just suggest and prompt and make it happen. Thank you.

5. Nap. You’ll eye roll at this, but we are just so opposite in that area that it’s just become nostalgic for me to come home in the middle of the day and know if you want to nap, you will. Go you.

6. Weekends. I love being back in Buda, doing early saturday mornings with you. I love that we are on the same page about coffee, getting out of the house, exploring… I know that even with baby #2 coming at some point soon we will not stop being those type of people and that excites me.

7. Support. Of course as I typed that word just now, I had a moment where I could have cried. But I held it together… You will push back on me if I need it… but you are really supportive. Gobundance, the arizona trip, when we talk about my business, even allowing me to try to build this year… Like you support and want me to thrive. It’s healing in a way I can’t explain. It’s reassuring to me that I can continue to find my inner voice in adulthood, something that often felt stifled as a kid. Thanks for being a fan of me and my growth. It means the world and more.
