A year ago, Site 690 at Joint Base Lewis‑McChord set out to build something bigger than the work itself — a culture where every person goes home safe.

On 5/1/2026, that commitment paid off:
365 days with ZERO OSHA‑recordable incidents.

Congrats JBLM!

Proud to celebrate Anthony Scales—veteran, leader, and an example of resilience in action. Thank you for your service and for the impact you make every day at PCSI.

Anthony Scales joined PCSI seven years ago and excelled in several positions, including housekeeper and quality control manager, before stepping into his most recent career opportunity. He currently works as an executive housekeeper at Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia on an Program contract. Before joining PCSI, Anthony served for twenty-one years in the U.S. Army. He completed five deployments, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan. Prior to retiring from service, he received a Traumatic Brain Injury diagnosis and severe hearing loss in one ear. He regularly experiences headaches, anxiety and memory lapses.

As a veteran with a disability, he believes that communication, patience and empathy are imperative to building strong relationships with colleagues. "You have to listen to the people you are leading and figure out the ways to communicate best with them," said Scales. Read Anthony's full story at: https://bit.ly/4nmRpa5

On Tuesday, May 5th, PCSI was proud to partner with 4ATX Foundation and the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI) to help bring the first blind soccer pitch in Texas to life.

The grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony and soccer clinic led by U.S. Blind Soccer National Team member and TSBVI alumni Ricky Castenada, creating an inspiring day focused on accessibility and opportunity through sports.

We were also honored to have Gary Anderson, PCSI’s Senior Vice President of Business Development, speak at the event alongside community leaders and partners dedicated to expanding access for athletes who are blind or have low vision.

“At PCSI, we break barriers for individuals with disabilities, primarily barriers that exist in the workplace,” said Tony Cucolo, President and CEO of PCSI. “Every day I see my team doing things no one believed they could do and living their best lives. Sports can have the same impact, lifting individuals up to do things they and others thought were not possible. That is why we’re proud to partner with 4ATX Foundation, Austin FC, Soccer Assist, and Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired to help create this space where athletes who are blind or have low vision can belong, compete, and be their best.”

Thank you, Abdul K Muhammad, for sharing your experience with the community as a living book at this year's Sterling Heights Human Library. This annual, community-driven event is where, instead of books, residents "check out" human volunteers for one-on-one, 30-minute conversations to discuss unique life experiences, breaking down stereotypes and fostering empathy.
Sponsored by PCSI, this year's Human Library was a definite hit!

Who’s ready to connect with talent in a new way?

PCSI is proud to host a Reverse Job Fair—designed with employers in mind. Instead of traditional booths, employers engage directly with candidates as they showcase their skills, resumes, and portfolios. This format allows for more meaningful conversations, efficient interviews, and the opportunity to identify top talent in real time—often leading to on-the-spot offers.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Innovation doesn’t stop at the launch. It accelerates.

Since introducing PCSIx, we’ve been energized by the conversations, ideas, and momentum already taking shape. PCSIx was created to turn insight into action, and that work is already underway—connecting behavioral science, technology, and lived experience to design practical, scalable, and deeply human solutions.

What’s next for PCSIx?

✅ Re-imagining how systems engage and support people with disabilities
✅ Partnering across sectors to pilot smarter, more inclusive solutions
✅ Using data and human insight to drive measurable, lasting outcomes

PCSIx represents our commitment to not just imagining better systems, but building them, together. We’re excited to continue this journey and share what’s ahead as the work evolves.

We’re excited to launch the new PCSIx Innovation page on our website!

PCSIx showcases how we’re using innovation to create smarter, more human-centered solutions for the communities we serve. One of the many ways we’re proud to use it is by supporting military families and celebrating exceptional children — children with disabilities who inspire strength, resilience, and determination every day.

Through solutions like CareStarter, PCSIx helps military families access the care, education, and support services they need, wherever duty takes them.
