At just 10 pounds, Phoebe is a friendly, spunky toy poodle who loves attention and would happily claim a spot in your lap whenever one is available. She's the perfect blend of cuddle buddy and companion, always ready to spend time with her favorite people.

While Phoebe is generally low energy, she still enjoys playing with toys, a game of fetch, and a daily walk. She's great on a leash and absolutely loves meeting new people.

Phoebe would do well as an only dog soaking up all the attention for herself, but she may also enjoy the company of a similarly sized small dogs too.

One thing you should know about Phoebe: she loves food. She's very food motivated, which makes her eager to learn and easy to train. She's making great progress and learning to wait patiently for her own bowl.

We are so excited to share that both Lady Hawke and Kahli have found their forever homes!

Beautiful Lady Hawke (black) was adopted from our adoption center at Petco Westlake. She originally came to us from a shelter outside of Austin and quickly let us know she preferred to be the queen of her castle. 👑 Finding the right home took a little extra time, but it was worth the wait. We are thrilled she found a family that was the perfect match for her personality.

Sweet Kahli (calico) was adopted from our adoption center at Petco Sunset Valley. Recently, her owner made the heartbreaking decision to ask for help when something unexpected made it impossible to keep her beloved cats. It was clear how deeply these cats were loved, and transferring them to our care an act of love. We welcomed Kahli and her feline friends into rescue with a promise to find them safe, loving homes and bright futures.

Today, Kahli begins that next chapter.

Stories like these remind us that every cat's journey is different. Some come from shelters. Some lose the only home they've ever known through no fault of their own. But thanks to our fosters, volunteers, adopters, and supporters, they all get the chance for a new beginning.

🐾 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐉𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐧 🐾 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭'𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭!

This goofy bulldog mix loves walks, car rides, fetch, Benebones, couch time, and cheek scratches. If you stop petting her before she's ready, don't be surprised if she bumps her bum toward you in hopes of negotiating a few more scratches. She's also known to offer a paw when meeting new people—and is happy to repeat the trick whenever she feels additional treats should be dispensed.

Margot has a strong opinions about walks. When Margot decides it's time for one, she'll head straight to the front door and occasionally offer a bark for emphasis. A trip to the backyard is not the same thing, and she would like that noted for the record.

Margot currently lives with multiple dogs and a cat. While she isn't interested in roughhousing with the other dogs, she enjoys being part of the group. One of the most rewarding things to watch has been seeing her go from standing on the sidelines to becoming part of the pack once she felt safe.

Margot has also undergone extensive airway surgery while in rescue and is breathing much more comfortably these days. Now she's ready to find a family of her own.

Margot is happiest with people who understand and appreciate dogs for who they are. Because she occasionally forgets she's 44 pounds when leaping into laps and does best with people who recognize and respect canine communication, we believe she'd thrive in a home with adults or older teenagers.

🐾 Meet Meeps Meeps 🐾

2 Years Old | Chihuahua | 9 Pounds

If ever there was a dog who refused to give up, it's Meeps.

When Meeps came into rescue, she couldn't use her back legs. A CT scan and orthopedic specialist gave us a guarded prognosis and told us she would likely never walk again.

But nobody told Meeps.

First she stood. Then she took a few steps. Today, she walks on her own and continues to get stronger every day. Watching her rediscover what her little body can do has been nothing short of amazing.
Meeps is equal parts fighter and comedian. She makes adorable little "meep meep" sounds when she wants attention, and loves burrowing under blankets. More than once, we've thought we'd lost her only to discover a suspicious lump under a slipcover over a dog bed.

She's convinced she's much larger than her nine-pound body suggests and isn't afraid to play with or boss around big dogs; but that also puts her a bit at risk so we are seeking a home with smaller dogs to keep her safe. She also has a hilarious relationship with cats—barking at them from across the room, then politely booping them with her nose and then if they allow that, she will try to get in a little nibble but she quickly respects boundaries once they are given.

Meeps loves her people, loves adventures, loves snuggling in bed, and wants to be included in absolutely everything you do. She wakes up every day excited to be part of the family and reminds us constantly that joy isn't about having a perfect life—it's about making the most of the one you have.

Meeps isn't looking for someone to feel sorry for her. She's looking for someone to love her. And trust us—that part is easy. ❤️

Just under two weeks ago, sweet Ron underwent surgery for a urethral prolapse. Unfortunately, prolapses like this can be common in micro bullies like Ron and can sometimes become chronic. At this point, we do not know whether this relapse happened from licking, healing complications, or if he has a chronic condition that will need future correcting. What we do know, is that he's actively bleeding and surgical correction can't wait.

And this little dog has already been through so much.

Ron came to us with painful skin and ear infections and a gentle, deeply sensitive personality that made it clear life had not always been kind to him. Despite everything, he remains unbelievably loving and trusting. He just wants soft places to sleep, people to cuddle, and the comfort of finally feeling safe.

Rocky’s story started under a parked car during a storm — cold, scared, and barking for help as severe weather rolled in. Thankfully, someone stopped.

Now this adorable 5 month old puppy is safe in foster care and absolutely thriving.
Rocky is smart, playful, affectionate, and FULL of personality. He loves other dogs, is already crate trained, sleeps through the night, and has been impressing everyone with how quickly he learns. He already knows “sit” and “down,” has excellent recall for a puppy, and is obsessed with enrichment toys and games.

He’s the kind of puppy who wants to be involved in everything — playing, learning, exploring, and then crashing hard for puppy naps afterward.

Little Val is currently looking for a calm foster or foster-to-adopt home where she can safely undergo heartworm treatment — and we know someone out there is going to fall in love with this sweet girl. 💖

This affectionate, easygoing pup wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Whether she’s cuddled on the couch, following you from room to room, or relaxing nearby while you shower for the warm steam, Little Val is happiest simply being with you.

She has wonderful house manners, loves gentle attention, and has been an easy companion in foster care. She entered our rescue with pneumonia that she caught at a shelter, but thanks to lots of great vet care and TLC from her current foster, she's made a full recover. Now that she’s starting to feeling better, her playful personality has begun to shine through. But she's still the queen of the relaxed lifestyle filled with naps, cozy cuddle sessions, and slow-paced walks.
