Some of the best travel moments are the ones that completely shift how you look at design. 🇳🇴

One of Jen’s favorite stops in Oslo included the Opera House and the city’s Public Library, and it’s easy to see why. Both are iconic modern civic spaces, but they create very different experiences through scale, material, light, movement, and the details you only notice once you’re inside.

There was so much to take in and photograph, from dramatic exterior forms to layered interior moments that felt sculptural, functional, and full of energy.

Such a good reminder that design inspiration doesn’t only come from finished rooms. Sometimes it comes from getting out, exploring, and experiencing spaces on a completely different scale.

With a background in client experience and management, Cassidy brings a thoughtful, organized approach to helping projects move smoothly from start to finish. She’s passionate about creating a seamless experience for our clients while keeping all the important behind-the-scenes details moving forward.

Outside of work, Cassidy loves spending time outdoors with her two dogs, cooking, baking, hosting, and exploring all that Austin has to offer.

Indoor-outdoor living feels most natural when the materials help create a real sense of connection.

In this home, the limestone flooring is carried throughout the main floor and across the transitions from inside to outside. Laid in a herringbone pattern, the diagonal lines draw the eye through the spaces and help balance the strong architectural lines throughout the home.

Instead of each area feeling separate, the consistent flooring helps the main floor feel more cohesive, connected, and intentional.

It’s a simple material decision, but such an impactful one. The kind of detail that changes how a home feels, functions, and flows.

What makes a walk in closet feel both polished and practical?

In this luxury spec home in the Hill Country outside of Austin, the design is centered on storage, organization, and ease of use. Open shelving, hanging space, drawers, and a central island all work together to give different wardrobe needs a dedicated place, while the separate vanity area adds another useful layer to the daily routine.

The material palette keeps the room feeling bright and refined. Crisp white cabinetry creates a clean foundation, dark hardware adds contrast and definition, and warm wood flooring softens the space so it still feels grounded and inviting.

Progress is picking up at our Kingsland project, and we’re so excited to see this new construction home continue to take shape!✨

Built-ins are coming together, finishes are moving forward, and the scale of each space is revealing itself more clearly with the addition of each new element. During site visits like this, we’re able to review proportions, confirm placements, and make sure the design is developing as intended before the final layers are added.

These in-progress moments may not be the final reveal, but they’re such an exciting part of the process. This is where details are checked, decisions are refined, and the vision starts to feel more real.

We’ll keep sharing more as Kingsland moves closer to completion!

This bathroom was designed as part of the independent garage apartment added above our Tarrytown remodel project, and it’s such a charming example of how much personality can fit into a smaller footprint.

The apartment was created to feel connected to the original home while still having its own distinct character. In the bathroom, hand-glazed green tile wraps the floor, walls, and curbless shower, giving the compact space a calm, continuous palette that feels fresh and full of life.

The warm wood vanity and brass details add softness and warmth, while carefully placed windows bring in natural light without compromising privacy. The result is a bathroom that feels bright and thoughtfully layered, with every detail working together beautifully.

Vintage European furniture inspiration at KLASSIK Moderne Møbelkunst was an absolute must see for our Design Principal, Jen. 🤎

From a designer’s perspective, there was inspiration in every corner. The sculptural silhouettes, rich wood tones, expressive patterns, and natural patina gave each vintage piece so much personality.

It was the kind of place that invited you to slow down, study every detail, and imagine how each piece could add depth, history, and character to a home. These are the furnishings that make a space feel collected over time, thoughtfully layered, and completely one of a kind.

Jen may have brought the family along for a design focused stop, but even they had to admit it was pretty incredible.
