It’s no secret that we hire guides that truly love kids!

And your student attending Alpha knows this- that they have a champion, a #1 fan, a genuine supporter, and it’s their guide!

So many people misunderstand how and why we use AI so allow us to clear a few things up.

#1- Our students actually do their work, it’s not AI doing it for them. It’s not a chat bot either.

#2-We condense academics into 2 hours a day-without sacrificing quality. In fact our classes rank in the top 2% routinely according to our NWEA MAP testing.

#3- We can condense our academics because every student has a personalized learning journey, with the right material at the right pace. This is because AI works in the background in the learning apps we’ve created.

#4- While our technology IS groundbreaking, our motivation model is the key to our success. Our human guides are freed up from lecturing, grading papers, and lesson plans so their focus can be on accountability, emotional support and motivation. Our schools actually have more human interaction than most any other school you’ll find.

#5- So what do we do with the rest of the day since our academics only take 2 hours? Our guides lead life skills workshops every afternoon that our students simply love. This is probably what parents love most about our model. Engaging, fun, and challenging workshops based around financial literacy, doing hard things, public speaking, empathy-all the things that you want your kid to learn to be happy and successful as an adult.

Thoughts?

We have “Shadow Days” year round and offer rolling admission. But we will warn you, a major issue from parents about “Shadow Days” at our schools… oftentimes students come back to mom and dad after a Shadow Day and say “I’m not going back to my other school ever again!!” 😁

At our schools we don’t have report cards. But we do measure academics and life skills. For our life skills we have our “Test to Pass.” These are different measurements every six weeks to measure how well each student has learned the life skill for that particular workshop. The life skills we focus on are “public speaking, financial literacy, grit, teamwork, and giving back to our community.”

Don’t miss the part about our “Guides.” Our technology may get all the press, but our Guides are transforming the role of teacher by offering emotional support, encouragement, and accountability to every student.
