it’s the belief that the universe keeps two people apart until the timing is right. and when you finally meet, there will be a series of uncanny coincidences, as if the timing had been choreographed by something greater. if ONE thing had fallen out of place, your paths never would have crossed. but everything leading up to that moment was preparing your heart for them.

i wrote & originally released this song with in 2024, who told me about it existing and i’ve been intrigued with the idea ever since. and i *love* singing it with ♥️

this song has traveled many miles 🙂‍↕️ i wrote it with when we were both living in nashville, eating lots of soup because it was winter, and both talking about moving to texas ✨

i didn’t even have a real reason to move to texas, other than me feeling like something inside of me clicked into place every time i was in austin. i just never wanted to leave. so i loaded all my belongings in a midsized SUV and moved, a few months after. we’ve been on different paths and hadn’t seen each other in forever, but this week, the stars finally aligned and we recorded it in dripping springs, texas, on the same guitar we wrote it on.
