One of my eXp Brokers called and asked if I would teach a class on Farm and Ranch Contracts. I had been working on a class for One to Four Family Contracts and wasn’t quite ready—but since I don’t know how to say no, I said YES! 😅

Teaching in the EXP Realty World is a challenge for me because I thrive in live classes where I can see faces, measure engagement, and interact with my Realtor Peers. But today, I stepped out of my comfort zone and taught as an avatar—no faces, and no body language to read.

It turned out to be a great warm-up for the CE classes I’m preparing to teach live. Some days, all we need is a BIG push to grow! 🚀

Well, I made it through August swimming my 12 miles. It does not sound like a lot but 3-4 times a week in the pool was a LOT! Some days dodging storms, other days making friends, and days like today just hanging out after my workout, working close to the pool. My back is bronze, you know I have American Indian in my blood when you see how dark I got in August. Nothing like a workout in the sunshine, FEELS GREAT!!!!

The original 5 miles was for the American Cancer Society and the 12 miles was for me! One mile takes about 1 hour and on my bike I could do 12 miles in about an hour. I would love to start riding my road bike again but it will have to be on the Veloway for safety. No more street rides unless it is for an event. Riding in a large group is much better than riding alone.

I'm so thankful that the American Cancer Society dangled this 5 mile challenge out there for me. I didn't think it would have been as difficult as it is to complete my personal goal of 12 miles. I thought of this like a bike riding 12 miles easy I can ride that in a hour or two. Swimming 12 miles is entirely different and has kicked my butt. I have not lost 1 lbs but I have gained several new wonderful friends and some doing the same challenge. I'm getting there between rains this week I need to be in the water 4 more times to make my goal. I will swim tomorrow!

Every now and then we need to be reminded of our strength. I thank God that I can be witness to this some days in my own life but it's not every day. I need to push forward and push through it on those difficult days so I can see the light shine every day. I was reminded last week that we MUST - Work for the Gift! I know who I am and God knows who I am. Love, nurture, forgive then give it up to God.

I finished my first goal of 5 miles for the American Cancer Society. I'm way off from my personal goal of 12 miles. It has been a tough month to be in the water and when I go I try to swim 1 mile. It takes about 1 hr 20 mins and then it is the time to get ready get in and out of the pool then home back at my desk. There have been a couple thunderstorm days and they close the pool and at the lakehouse and trying to get back to get the full 64 laps is tough. Today the pool is closed but as of today I have 376 laps. I only have 392 more laps to do and I'm past mid month. That is 7 more times to the pool this month which is quite possible.

I'm going to take a serious tone which I normally do not do. Here it is, no matter the type of relationship or business that you are in, REMEMBER it is the people you touch in your life and how you make them feel that counts. If you frustrate them, have a lack of empathy or compassion, let them know your opinion is the only one that counts then DO NOT expect them to be a very close friend or client that will continue to use your services. NO MATTER HOW GREAT THE PRINCIPAL BUSINESS OWNER or friend, how you feel does not matter it is all about them. If you follow me this will make a lot of sense in the coming days or week.
