Lydia Mullen always had an artistic flare, so much so, she worked her way into the graphic design industry. Loaded with roasted pecans and a fine oatmeal.
It took the recent recession and a tough job market to stir her talents into a new delicious career where she developed a passion for baking irresistible confections. During the extra time while trying to make it as a graphic designer, Lydia found herself mixing and dreaming up new cookie baking recipes. Oatmeal Rum Raisin - Soft oatmeal raisin cookie, with a hint of rum and toasted pecans. Orange Cardamom Cookie - Soft orange and cardamom sugar cookie. OREO Chocolate Chip - Chewy chocolate chip cookie with crushed Oreo. Dipped in Chocolate topped with Oreo crumble. Her artistic display, mix of flavours and the finest ingredients impressed all who she shared her baked treats with. Lydia was slowly moving away from the designer behind the computer to a cookie designer in the kitchen. The repeated requests for her hand-crafted gourmet cookies and her own desire to live a sweeter life, where passion and career are one, pushed Lydia to launch 8 Sweets in 2011. Each and every cookie from 8 Sweets is deliciously designed from start to finish with love from Lydia. Lydia would like to thank all the wonderful people in her life.
