Woke up to a text from a friend congratulating me for winning Voice Competition for “on the table” category. What a great early birthday present! I feel so honored :,) There were 36,000 submissions from all around the world in 15 different categories! Three of my other food images won in the “color pop”, “in bloom”, and “on the table” categories.

Check the website for all the other winners! So much inspiration! Thank you to click magazine for so many incredible classes and mentors that I continue to learn from! And of course for her incredible prop styling❤️

I used three A2s (think it’s time for another light!) and spent three days styling and restyling and more time thinking about it and ordered a red telephone last minute because I didn’t love the way the pink one looked. 😜

Instead of editing in Lightroom, I only used capture one which I’m liking more and more for simple edits. Thanks to .hulswitdesigns for encouraging me there!

Been baking many different chocolate chip cookie recipes this week! This was shot with my A2 with magnum and grid, angled down from the side. Just a single light for this one.

I’ve been taking more self portraits lately, to break things up. Thought of this one after thrown spaghetti and a long bed time with kids, as I sat down to unwind with some wine 🙃

I feel I exist between figuring out what healthy food to prep for kids and the creative hours in my studio. Striking the right balance has felt endlessly elusive. I think I could write more, but the photo tells the rest.

Really just live for splashes😍 I wish I had a bts video of this shoot 😂 reminder that an old plastic shower curtain is a great floor protector 🤪

Trying a new cookie recipe tonight where I bake the flour to give it a toasty flavor prior to mixing it into the cookies 😍😍😍😍

I’m a sucker for pink and textures 😍!! From a local magazine cover I worked on with a while back. Bringing back this basil infused whipped cream I made, but trying mint this time since my garden in overflowing in it mmmmmmm

So excited about launch! These are honestly my favorite new grab and go snack!
