Starting today, July 31, 2026, purchase and possession of THC *other than Delta 9* is now a state jail felony in Texas. All v**e pens are still illegal, with a felony charge for any amount of THC.

The Texas Compassionate Use Program has not been affected by this new law taking effect.

I stopped by a store that sells THC products yesterday and it was closed. A regular customer came as I was leaving and was disappointed to find it closed. She said she has rheumatoid arthritis and their products help her.

Another customer came by moments later. Where will these people go instead? We should legalize and regulate these products in Texas.
