I've been photographing the pavement/sidewalks around Austin since 2007. And I just sold my first print from the ongoing project this week! It's all framed up ready for delivery.

Collaboration with the summer 2013 UT PID program 08/15/2013

One hot day in July, Ann-Made worked with 3 architecture students in the PID program to fabricate the steel frame for one of the 4 structures. We began with a quick trial by fire welding lesson, and then clamped and welded the frame together as a team.

The structures were recently completed (set in the ground and sheathed in wood, by the students). The structures were officially dedicated yesterday.

what are the structures?
The are occupiable objects/spaces that reveal some of the geological and botantical history of the place (through imagery and text embedded in the strucutres).

where are they?
One is next to the new SFC/People Fund Offices just off MLK...a little hard to find as it's nestled in a wooded area next to the creek. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=2921+E+17th+Street&hl=en&sll=30.327349,-97.761144&sspn=0.402429,0.725098&hnear=2921+E+17th+St,+Austin,+Travis,+Texas+78702&t=m&z=17

The other 3 are off Nile St. in Boggy Creek Park. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=808+Nile+Street&hl=en&sll=30.279045,-97.70986&sspn=0.006291,0.01133&hnear=808+Nile+St,+Austin,+Travis,+Texas+78702&t=m&z=17
