Matt’s El Rancho is more than a restaurant. It’s a Texas story nearly a century in the making. ❤️
In 1923, at just six years old, Matt Martinez began selling tamales from a wooden pushcart by the Texas Capitol. Years later, he and his wife Janie opened the first El Rancho in 1952, sharing homemade recipes and warm hospitality with the Austin community.
Today, the Martinez family continues that legacy, serving handmade tortillas, chips, enchiladas, and the same love for every guest who walks through the door.
