Barn Engineering
I have been in the engineering field for over 31 years. My career has spanned the textile, rapid prototyping, automotive, and oil drilling industries.
This virus lives off of foolish human behavior...WEAR THE MASK!
Been laying low in the backyard doing high level garden designs to keep within the our Covid shelter at home. It has been fun!
Always looking for clients wanting to turn their dreams into reality using the latest in 3D design engineering.
This client was looking for someone to formalize his design and further develop it into the final product. What is interesting is that he purchase his own 3D printer and made most of the parts from home. It was fun to not only meet his design needs but taylor them to the restraints that he learned using the 3D printer. Here is the link:

Here is another product that a client came to me to help with the design. What is interesting about this effort is that we started by modifying an existing design, perfected that design by 3D printing prototypes, transitioned the final product into a short term injection molded tool to get to the market quicker, then finalized the design with a long term injection molded tool. The part I worked on is the corner hubs that keep the KuBox together. Here is the site:
kübox: easy crating and lightweight shipping containers A new way to ship valuable, large/heavy, or fragile items, by either parcel or freight, kübox fits when a box is not enough and a wood crate is too much.

Check out this website for a product I worked on for a client. It all started for me with a cardboard box full of protoype parts that over time and in cooperation with the client became this:
Quik Pak Technonlogies Inc. Quik Pak consumers will partake in a variety of benefits from its products and services, such as ease of use, safety, value, quality, and sustainability.
Still got my contract engineering shingle out and always looking to turn someone's dream into a reality.
I have been in the engineering field for over 30 years. My career has spanned the machine tool, textile, rapid prototyping, automotive, and oil drilling industries. That career path has offered me experiences as a design/development engineer, mechanical engineering/manager, manufacturing engineer/manager, and chief engineer. I have been involved in areas of mechanical design, product support, manufacturing for cost and efficiency, engineering document control, and inventory control for existing products and the introduction of new products. I have experience in procuring, introducing and implementing ERP software database systems. I am proficient in using SolidWorks for 3D CAD modeling of parts, parametric assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings. I own a seat of Solidworks that can be used for contract work. I am proficient in the use of all MS-Windows software products. Prior to my engineering career I was in the machine tool industry as a skilled laborer which provided me with the hands on experiences for a vast majority of manufacturing processes.
