The energy of the Affordable Art Fair was everything I hoped it would be. I so enjoyed the genuine conversations, beautiful connections, and so many pieces finding the homes they were always meant for. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, stayed a while, and took a little piece of Laura Clay Art home with you.

Another on the books. Fairs like these remind me why I love this work. Talking with people about how they see themselves in the art never gets old. It is a privilege to create a sort of mirror that reflect the person back to them.

After a short rest, I’ll be back at it this Thursday at in Austin. I still have a few complimentary tickets left — grab yours through the link in my bio.

Working at this scale requires my full presence. The works for the upcoming fair demand a broader physical reach and a deeper level of endurance. It is an investigation into how a large canvas can command space while remaining intimate in its detail.

Doors for open today! Hope to see you all there - I’ll be in booth 41.

Months of prepping, stretching, painting, drawing, framing, and more, all to get to these fairs over the next two weekends. I am full of anticipation for and as I ready myself to debut new work. See you at the fairs!

Medialuna is her name, an ode to both the half moon figure she embodies and the staple Argentinian pastry.

Titled La Trinidad, after the Ex Hacienda La Trinidad, this piece captures a door I photographed in my hometown of Guanajuato. These small vignettes of artistry and age are what make this place so special to me.
