March was a busy blur, spending time working and playing, experiencing High Highs and Low Lows. As April rounds its last third I’m hoping to find equilibrium again. Grateful for it all, and particularly my people and their support ❤️👩🍳🐦🔥

Hope your day was lovely yesterday. We celebrated with my great-grandmother’s homemade egg nog recipe. Truly delightful (and nothing like the store bought stuff) 😋🎄❤️
There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my parents, with love, appreciation, and sometimes a little confusion over choices made. And no more so than on this day (the anniversary of my adoption)…the day I won the family lottery.
I have watched this clip so many times today…knowing they are watching me, guiding me (or trying to 🤭), and loving me for, and in spite of, my choices.
Thanks so much Mama and Daddy, today and always. And thanks to for sharing this intimate moment in your own life that is giving clarification to my own ❤️

Mama made a Chocolate and Vanilla layer cake with Vanilla Buttercream and Sour Patch Kids fans. And some GF, DF Peanut Butter Cookies so everyone could have dessert 🎉
