We are looking for a talented Interior Designer with 3-6 years of experience in hospitality-forward design projects.

Working with what’s already there, and thinking about what it could become.

For this conceptual study, we looked at the space between inside and out, using a new façade and more landscape to create a softer, more inviting edge along the street.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of George Scariano, co-founder of Royal Blue Grocery.

We began working with George and Craig Staley in 2006, and over nearly two decades our collaboration with Royal Blue has meant a great deal to us. George was one of a kind—gregarious, generous, caring, and always full of life. His warmth and energy made working together truly special.

Our hearts are with Craig, George’s family, and the entire Royal Blue family. We are grateful for the many years of collaboration, trust, and memories.

We will miss George tremendously.

Design begins with questions, and sketching is an effective way to both ask and answer. Here, we have 3 facade studies for a single ground-up building. Each one explores connectivity to the outdoors, the pedestrian experience, retail frontage, and community engagement.

We’ve elevated the way we host at Chioco Design. If you’ve visited our studio over the past month, you surely have received a warm welcome from our new Office Manager, Brett Sandy. Brett joins Chioco Design with an extensive background in hospitality operations, and we are thrilled to have him on our team!

The many lives of the Historic Randerson-Lundell building on 6th street.   
  
Built in 1896, the space was originally used to house a grocery, feed and wagon yard. A second floor was added in 1910 to board customers overnight and was purported to be the first building on East 6th Street to house hispanic tenants. During the 1980’s, the building was also a hot tub themed venue. In 2025, it is now home to Spectre Air Capital, a Texas-based aircraft leasing company.
