Yangmori: Sheep Head (양머지) 🐑

One thing I love about Korean bathhouse culture is how functional the little traditions can be.

양머리 (yangmeori) literally means “sheep head.”

You take the towel you already have, fold it into a hat, and suddenly you have one of the most recognizable symbols of Korean sauna culture. 🇰🇷

It’s simple. A little goofy. And very Korean.
Now you know how to make one.

I fired my architect.
A few months ago, I hired someone to design Seoul Bathhouse.
He already knew the property.
He’d worked on it before.
It felt like the obvious choice.
He told me 8 weeks.
We’re past that.
Still no permit drawings.
Meanwhile, 60 people have already committed to this before there’s even a bathhouse to walk into.
At some point, I had to make the call.
So I let him go.
Now I’m rebuilding the team.
Designer. Contractor.
Still looking for the right architect—and probably an engineer too.
We can’t start construction without permit drawings, so that’s where we are.
Figuring it out as we go.
