Chipping away, day after day.

Going for a little rougher hewn look on the edges of this pier for a timberframe post. Used the pointed chisel to knock off the edges and then a toothed chisel to give it a semi-chamfer kind of finish. I like this better than the smoother and filed finish from before.

A couple versions of a sample for larger timberframe posts. Minimal ornamentation, one with white stain, one without.

First pass at a stained glass ceiling for the scale model of a timberframe entranceway and hallway. This will eventually be life sized, but Iām currently at the small model stage (basically making a dollhouse š). The stained glass component is loosely inspired by kumiko latticework and a straightforward and calm grid pattern of warm colors. Still needs improvement but I like the effect so far.
