Aicha Wambaya Conde brought her powerful vocals, along with the infectious groove of Sahara Allstars to Driftwork Sound for this medley of sorts—Starting off with a short rendition of “KyenKyen”, transitioning into Aicha’s original song “Ndjarabi”.
Aicha was born and raised in Guinea, a West African country that shares musical traditions with Ghana, Nigeria, and Mali. I’ll post an interview soon with her talking about her upbringing and her move to the US.
