On Sunday June 23rd, Economist John William of IAMECON took part in a panel as part of the inaugural Data For Good day at Galvanize in downtown Austin. The panel included City Councilman Jimmy Flannigan , Meme Styles, President of Measure Austin and Mateo Clarke of Open Austin.
The panel focused on Austin’s data infrastructure, including its strengths, weaknesses and possibilities for collaboration between the city’s major institutions. Our team enjoyed the opportunity to discuss how the city can efficiently leverage data for positive impact, and looks forward to collaborating more with Data For Good, Measure, Open Austin, the City Council, and the Austin area nonprofits in attendance.
