We are so happy to welcome back company dancer Isabella Phillips Lynch. 💖✨
Isabella has a beautiful update to share:
“This summer was quite different than any I’ve had before! While pregnant last season, my water spontaneously broke at 25 weeks, and I gave birth to my son, Travis, only three weeks later at 28 weeks! Miraculously, Travis has been healthy since and is continuing to grow so much! My husband and I spent the summer soaking in and enjoying as much time with baby T as we could!
I’m revisiting the role of Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream this weekend (Sept. 25-27) as my debut back to the stage and couldn’t be more excited! I’m also looking forward to the great rep this season and especially finishing with a classic like Giselle!”
Welcome, Baby T! And welcome back, Bella. We have missed you on the stage. 🩰

Behind the glowing lanterns and starlit sky of The Seventh Night Sky is the breathtaking work of visual artist Jieun Beth. 🏮✨
Through her projection design and animation, Jieun creates an immersive visual world that carries audiences from a lantern-lit festival all the way to the Milky Way. Her art transforms the stage into a celestial landscape where every light tells a story.
We are so honored to have her artistry as part of this production.
In The Seventh Night Sky, choreographer Thang Dao brings a centuries-old Vietnamese legend to life - a magical new work created especially for young audiences and families, featuring the dancers of Ballet Austin TWO.

Our Summer Highlight Series continues! This time, company dancer Marco Lorenzo-Giguere takes us on a world tour. 🌍✨
“I spent this summer visiting loved ones around the world. I first went to London and Spain to visit my family where they’re studying and working. Then I went to Japan to visit fellow company dancer Meg Kataoka. She showed me around Tokyo, Kyoto and beautiful little towns in between. I then went to the National Choreographers Initiative (NCI). I worked with Julia Feldman and DaYung Jung, both incredibly talented and inspiring choreographers.
This season is filled with so many exciting new ballets and interesting programs, and I’m especially looking forward to performing as Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream! It’s such a fun ballet, and I hope you all can come see it!”

Happy Birthday to company dancer Samuel Mayer! 🥳
Originally from Acton, Massachusetts, Sam trained at the Acton School of Ballet and the Brookline Ballet School before earning his BFA in Classical Ballet from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2022. From there he danced with Nashville Ballet II and Wonderbound Contemporary Ballet in Colorado before joining Ballet Austin in 2025.
Since joining the company, audiences have seen Sam as the Huntsman in Grimm Tales, The Pink Confetti Dance, The Magic Flute, and the Trepak dance in The Nutcracker, among others.
From Acton to Austin, we’re so glad you landed here. Happy Birthday, Sam! ✨

Felix Mendelssohn originally composed his music for a stage production of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy. For Ballet Austin’s production, Stephen Mills has woven that iconic score together with other Mendelssohn works to create a full, rich musical landscape for the ballet.
You’re going to want to listen to Mendelssohn all day after this. 🎶
