For the record, there are no national or federal building codes. There are model codes that states and municipalities can choose to adopt and enforce. As someone who works with dozens of home builders every year, I can confidently say that the last thing ANYONE wants or needs are fewer building codes and regulations.

Seeing my own yard signs under the new brokerage was pretty cool. However, seeing Cat’s sign actually felt 10x cooler! Congrats on the new listing, Cat!

When one of your favorite clients works in the film industry and uses your name in set design! I have to admit, it would have been fun to be a Real Estate Agent in 1923 Montana. Almost as rough and wild as 2021 Austin. Check out the latest “Yellowstone” prequel, “1923” on Paramount.

Last week I noticed heavy loads of laundry were throwing our front loading washer off balance. Before I could get a repair person out to diagnose the problem, this happened to the gasket after a load of towels. 😭 After a little internet sleuthing and poking around, I found that one of the springs holding the drum in place is broken. Thankfully, a new door gasket and spring will be an easy fix for my appliance repair person! Remember, if your appliances start making odd noises, they are probably trying to tell you something.

Whenever a client tells me they are planning to have major work done on their roof, floor/foundation, or exterior walls, I always remind them to secure or remove anything that might fall if the house vibrates.
Sometimes I’m a better Realtor than I am a homeowner. 🤦🏻‍♀️
