SXSW at CPC

One of my most rewarding things to do on Thursdays is to volunteer at Central Mission. If you are considering donating to a good cause as part of Amplify Austin, I can tell you that your dollar will go far here!

SXSW 2024 is just a few weeks away! Central Presbyterian Church Austin will once again be the ideal listening room to come experience amazing music. We never know who SXSW will book, but the lineup is starting to leak out (and always subject to change...see sxsw.com schedule for the latest).

Tuesday, March 12 looks to be an inspired lineup with three avant composers, Sofi Paez (Costa Rica), Lisa Morgenstern (Germany), and Grandbrothers (Germany). See you soon!

PS - you don't need a badge or wristband to come listen, just pay a small cover charge (unless we fill up with badge credentials which is not too likely).

SXSW is coming to Central Presbyterian Church once again, and that means we've got two Platinum Passes to give away! These are the passes for *all* SXSW events - Music, Film, and Interactive - and if you take a look at the SXSW website, you'll see that they're worth over $1800 each (and going up).
However, you could win a pair for much less than that by entering CPC's SXSW Platinum Pass Raffle! For the incredibly low price of $20 per ticket, you'll have a chance at getting these passes. We're going to draw ONE ticket, and the lucky winner will get TWO Platinum Passes!
Tickets are on sale now, in the church office. Limit five per person. The drawing will be held on Sunday, Mar 3th, during our noon Fellowship Hour. You need not be present to win. Passes must be picked up in person at the SXSW office at the Austin Convention Center, starting Mar 3rd at 4pm - see Win Bent (or the SXSW website) for details. Sadly, the IRS does *not* consider raffle tickets to be deductible contributions to the church, so purchase only out of the goodness of your heart... and the thrill of that possible prize!
We're only selling fifty tickets - when they're gone, that's it, so buy early and buy often!
