As the wife of someone born & raised in New Orleans, today is a big holiday! Every time I tell a new friend or acquaintance that J is from NOLA, they respond like I said he was from a foreign country. 🫠
But when you think about it, New Orleans has a culture that is unlike anything in the states.
The food, the drinks, the music, the parades….the resilience of the people. They have an unspeakable joy & pride for the city, their state. As a native Texan, I know a thing or two about state pride 🤠, but I try my best to honor something that is near and dear to his heart. So when J sent me a photo of these sweatshirts he found in the airport. I said “say less!” We always find a way to “let the good times roll.”

⭐️ 2024 Word of the Year: Fearless 💪🏾

(Well I have two words, but more on that later😉)
I had a major epiphany at the end of the 2023 and I asked myself a question: when did I start being so afraid?

Chile, it was a light bulb moment and realized life well has been lifeing, and somewhere along the way, I lost some of my confidence. God has directed my path and ordered my steps my whole life, and I decided that I would no longer be my own blocker. No more.

No more fear.

I am moving into a season of fearlessness - embracing opportunities, exploring new horizons, making decisions about longer being paralyzed by anxiety, running toward the purpose that God has for me and talking back to everything that doesn’t align with his truth. And even in the moments where I feel like I don’t have support or someone rooting me on, I remember the scripture: “If God is for me, then WHO *in my Angela Basset voice* can be against me?

Two months ago I woke up to an alert that my account was suspended….and then it was permanently disabled. Pretty sure I was had unwelcome intruders as I received a weird message minutes after this happened.

It was a weird and quiet two months of not having an IG account. I was so sad to have lost my platform, but then I realized that maybe it was sign to start over or take a break. So I did just that….

But I got an email and confirmation that this journey wasn’t quite done yet. I am so happy to be back. Grateful to my connected family who is the plug. Excited for this second chance to continue my content creation and even more pumped to continue the momentum on my small piece of the internet. Get ready for more tips & tricks on ways you can stay fit, fab, fueled and filled with purpose!
